Log on Details

Step 1 – Go to http://medialibrary.nitb.net

Step 2 – Log on using your username and password you have received

Image Downloading

Step 1 -Select your chosen image, click on the box below the image , then proceed to the button Download Selected Image as seen below:

You will then be asked “Do you want to open or save this file?” choose your option.

Step 2 – If you want to download the image of a particular size, you should just click on the image itself which will bring you to the following page:

There are 3 options, you can download small, medium or large size. Just click on the size you require and then click on Download Original or Download for Web depending on your requirement.

Step 3 - Once you do this, a box will appear saying “Preparing image to download..download will automatically start in a few moments”. You will then be asked if you want to open or save the file, choose your option as seen below:

Lightbox

The lightbox is a folder to which you can add your favourite images. When you first register you will have one lightbox. However you can have as many lightboxes as you want, but you need to contact the Media Librarian so it can created.

Lightbox Instructions

Step 1 - In order to add an image/images to your lightbox just click on the box below the image and then proceed to Add selected image to lightbox as seen below:

Image Tags and Searching

On the right hand side of the page there are search tags under the STANDARD tab. These tags are divided into sections:

Activities
Location
Attractions
Culture & Heritage
Entertainment
Signatures
People
Accommodation
Seasonal
Picture Content
NITB

When you click on any of these tags the relevant pictures will appear.

Advance Searching

When you want to look for more specific images.

Step 1 – Click on the Advanced Tab, a box will appear saying “Click on tags to add to the search”

Step 2 – eg. if you want to find an image that has people walking in Belfast, just click on Walking (under activities) and Belfast (under location) the relevant images

If you want to start a new search click on Clear All or Clear Last.
